This Cannot Be a Coincidence....

"This one only requires one little word from you," the shop owner said.

Eden looked strained. In irritation, she told him, "No. I don't need it. Besides, how can I trust your word?" With that last statement, the girl turned on her heel and strolled out of the shop. She blinked in the unseasonable sunlight, looking around. It was busy, but then, it was the weekend.
The Dark folded her arms; despite the sun, it was still rather cold outside. She began allowing herself to go with the flow of the crowd.

Oren was asleep on a bench, after being kicked out of the house to repurchase groceries, while he had yet to get sleep. He yawned, stirring slightly, only to scratch his nose.

Walking by, Eden noticed the Light she had come to recognize. She tensed, and slipped into the nearest store. The girl glanced out the window, hoping he hadn't noticed her. That was when she realized where she was.

This store had a bad reputation, but it got by on the seediest members of society. It held dark objects, and was hidden from the view of normals. Evil potions and powders lined the shelves, along with cursed jewelry. Eden immediately wanted out.

Anders was reading a book, a dull expression lining his face. He was across the road, on another bench.

Eden walked out, stopping to calm her pounding heart. So much confusion in such a short time span! She began walking once more, but she stopped outside a tiny pastry store. She studied the ones in the window, curious to know which one she would like more.

Anders caught sight of her, examining her. "Female. Dark." he whispered, and continued reading.

Eden caught site of the boy in the reflection of the window, but thought nothing of it, and went inside the store. Finally, she came out, eating a scone filled with raspberry jelly. Feeling a strong urge, she moved to a bench right next to where Oren lay. Silently, the girl chewed her food.

Oren groaned, giving up is pursuit of sleep and sitting up. He sat their sleepily, turning his head slightly to look at Eden. His eyes grew wide.
"Ah! It's you!"

Anders heard, looking up again. "Male....Light." he whispered nonchalantly, withdrawing his book into his coat, and disappearing into the crowd.

Eden swallowed, then crumpled her napkin.
"Yes, it is me," she acknowledged, looking over at Oren.

"W-well, stop following me, Dark!" Oren hissed, scooting to the edge of the bench.

"I'm not following you," Eden replied calmly. "In fact, it almost seems as if you are following me."

"Psht. I was sleeping." Oren said, standing up and stretching.

"Whatever you say," Eden murmured, just soft enough that it was only heard by them. She leaned back, folding her arms and crossing her legs.

Oren continued walking on, until he found out a boy was following him. He frowned. It must've been a dark. Oren turned into an alleyway, hiding behind a wall.
Anders saw the light turn into the alleyway. "No use." Anders murmured softly, putting a gun up in the air and shooting. The line of people started screaming, and a stampede began.

Eden heard the shot, and immediately pulled her feet onto the bench with her. Not a moment too soon; people were trampling each other to get out of the way, trying to get as far as possible from the gun.

OOC:Dark and Light fight. :D

Oren huffed. "Dammit."
He withdrew his sword, as Anders walked closer. "Shadow." The boy said, and his eyes glowed red. Through a purple haze, he had X-ray vision, and was able to see Oren through the wall.

With the streets empty, and people now standing inside shops or still running home, Eden could clearly see the two boys. She groaned when she recognized the one she had seen earlier as a Dark. Here was yet another fight happening, but this time, it was in public.

"Power of Shadow." Anders chanted, raising his gun. He shot a bullet, and it went through the wall, going right through it and missing Oren's head by an inch. It was a warning shot. Oren panted, and started to run.

Eden, rolling her eyes, got off the bench and strode over to Anders.
"Are you insane?!" she demanded when she got to him. "You're in broad daylight, shooting at somebody! The normals will think you've gone mad!"

"Big Crowd. Normals gone. No one knows me." Anders said, looking around. The place was deserted. He continued. "Light."

Eden was confused.
"Can you not speak proper English or something?" she asked. "And seriously, there are still the shopkeepers who probably saw you."

"Alleyway." Anders said. "No shops near me here."

He turned the corner, shooting at the vanishing Oren.

Eden felt the urge to protect the Light further, though somehow she knew she would come to regret it.
"Constantly shooting at him isn't going to solve anything!" Eden complained further.

"Light must die." Anders said, pursuing Oren down the alley. Oren turned the corner, running up the path out of town.

Eden threw up her arms in exasperation.
"You're never going to get him!" she exclaimed, hoping this made the boy stop.
